For the Love of Superstars

Adidas made this one for the fans. In celebration of fifty years of the Superstar, Adidas shows love to the iconic silhouette, literally embroidering it on the upper!

True to the classic design—except where they're not.

Fans will immediately notice the red accent tracing the border of the heel cap and flowing into the sock liner. And speaking of the sock liner, it is leather here, not the standard textile. High-quality leather is used throughout, giving this pair a premium look and feel.

In addition to the embroidered 'shoe on the shoe' are the words "LOVE SUPERSTAR" printed on the midsole. From a distance, one may be perplexed by the array of lines and squiggles. But get closer. Hold both shoes together to see the effect.

This is my favorite design.

When I saw these online, I had to have them! This is the pair that started my 'collecting' of unique Superstars. I have had this pair for a little over a year and have rarely removed them from the box. I don't know if I will ever put them on my feet. I don't want to chance ruining them with subtle creases. If I do, I'll be sure to tell you what is like to wear your favorite design of your favorite shoe—and any regret that follows
